After bringing us such avant-garde alloys as Carbotech and Goldtech in recent years, Panerai introduces in its new Replica Luminor Marine Fibratech – 44MM model a new high-tech composite material made of mineral fibers from volcanic basalt.
Used here for the first time in the watch industry, Fibratech is constructed from “natural and sustainable eco-fibers,” and 60 percent lighter than steel yet highly resilient and corrosion-resistant.
Perfect Panerai Replica says the material’s unidirectional mineral fibers are produced by the fusion of basalt rock, then bound with polymers to become thin layers which are superimposed in a precise orientation and finally consolidated through a pressure and temperature controlled process.
That means that each 44-mm barrel-shaped case of this new timepiece is subtly unique from all others. Fibratech makes up the case middle, including the patented crown protecting bridge, while Panerai Replica Watch Carbotech is used for the crown itself, the crown-locking lever, and the bezel.
Behind a solid micro-sandblasted titanium caseback beats the movement, Panerai’s in-house Caliber P.9010, which is self-winding by means of a bidirectional rotor and stores a power reserve of 72 hours, or three days, in its two spring barrels.
The Panerai Luminor Marina Fibratech Replica Watch comes on a blue strap made of Panerai Sportech, a proprietary woven material with a waterproof, rubberized texture, and fastens to the wrist with a trapezoidal titanium buckle with DLC coating.
As an Italian brand with a proud marine heritage, it’s understandable that the Mediterranean holds a special significance for Panerai Replica. When the brand first unveiled its Radiomir Mediterraneo limited edition models in 2018, it took one of its most classic designs and mated it with a rich blue sunburst dial treatment that calls to mind the waters of that sea.
Both the PAM01144 and the PAM01078 start with the “wide lug” version of the classic Panerai Radiomir Fake Watch cushion case, sized at 42mm and 45mm, respectively.
While these are classically bold sizes for Panerai Replica Watch, the overall thickness is surprisingly svelte with the PAM01144 coming in at only 11.2mm thick and the PAM01078 only a millimeter thicker. This extra-hard material doesn’t add any water resistance, however, as both Mediterraneo Edition versions are rated at 100 meters in part thanks to sapphire display casebacks.
Both feature a blue sunburst degradè finish that captures the look and feel of the deep sea, while Perfect Replica Panerai’s signature sandwich lume is rendered with a light khaki patina for contrasting warmth.
Both new Perfect Replica WatchesRadiomir Mediterraneo Edition models are paired with a matching dark blue alligator leather strap, featuring tan contrast stitching that plays well off of the warm tones of the patina lume.
Replica Panerai Radiomir 8 Days 45mm-It has a vintage-esque style – not really a one for one remake – combined with an in-house, eight-day movement. Most unusually, the steel case has a faux aged finish that Panerai is trying for the first time.
The new Radiomir is not a remake of a vintage Fake Panerai, but rather it’s a mix-and-match of various elements, including the engraved logo and “8 Giorni” emblem at three. Traditionalists might find it impure, but that was essentially the founding formula for the modern Panerai company.
The result is a good-looking watch that approximates the look of a vintage Perfect Panerai Replica while offering modern conveniences like a long power reserve.
The coolest detail of all – but arguably the most out of place since it wasn’t found on any vintage originals remotely resembling this watch- is the emblem at three o’clock. Translating as “8 Days Patented”, the logo boosts the retro feel of the watch, while also giving the dial a bit of symmetry.
And vintage vibes are completed by the highly domed sapphire crystal that mimics the PlexiGlas found on vintage Panerai Replica. Importantly, the sapphire crystal passes the test: it is sufficiently domed that is slightly distorts the edge of the dial when viewed from an angle.
